Podkarpacka Regionalna Organizacja Turystyczna (Podkarpackie Regional Tourism Board) is union of associations which consociates: Podkarpackie Province, the most attractive from the tourist point of view communes, also cities, museums, academies and organisations from the tourist sector.
Foremost among our members is Podkarpackie Province, Rzeszów-capital of region, Castle Museum in Łańcut, Rzeszów University of Technology, travel agencies, hotels, altogether 88 members.
PROT is located in the city centre of Rzeszów (capital of region).
Areas of activity
Major task of PROT is promotion and empowerment of region appearance.
We are working on developing and creating tourist products, extention of tourist information system throught cooperation between public and private tourist sector.
In scope of Podkarpackie Regional Tourism Board is iniciating, coordinating, expressing opinions about plans of growing and updating tourist infrastructure.
We are organising competitions, workshops, conferences for tourism industry, press tours and study tours.
Annually PROT takes part in international travel fairs in Poland and in foreign countries (ITB Berlin, Lviv, World Travel Market-London).
PROT published tourist guides (Podkarpackie Province, Wooden Architecture Trail. Podkarpackie, Blue River of San) promotional folders, maps, DVDs.
PROT is running Tourist Information Point in the city centre of Rzeszów and on the International Airport in Rzeszów.
Located in the south-east of Poland, the Podkarpackie voivodship is the region of unusual natural and cultural diversity combined with dynamic industrial development.
The voivodship comprises 4 cities (Rzeszów, Przemyśl, Tarnobrzeg and Krosno) and 21 districts, and the area of 18 thousand km² is inhabited by approx. 2.1 million of people.
The Podkarpackie voivodship is one of the purest, in terms of ecology, regions of Poland. On its area there are geographical lands that make it unique not only on a national scale.
